Step 1: After logging in to your Shopify admin area, go to Settings and click on Metafields.
Step 2: In the list of Metafields Types, go ahead by clicking on Orders.
Step 3: Next, click on the Add definition button.
Step 4: Enter a name for the metafield definition.
Step 5: Let the Namespace and key be as it is.
Step 6: You can add a description for your metafield definition, but it isn’t mandatory.
Step 7: Tick mark the Give access to Storefront API requests such that the metafield values are showcased on the storefront.
Step 8: From the Select content type, choose “Ratings”.
Step 9: Enter validation values. Here, we’ve entered rating scale minimum as 1 and rating scale maximum as 5. Click on the “Save” button to save the metafield definition.
This way, you can add order metafields definitions in your Shopify store.
How to Add Values to Order Metafields in Shopify?

Steps to Add Values to Order Metafields
Step 1: From the Shopify store admin, go to Orders.
Step 2: Choose any order from the list.
Step 3: On the order page, scroll down until you find Metafield section.
Step 4: Click on it and enter any value, named 4.0
Step 5: Save the changes that you’ve made.
