Generative engine optimisation
When a shopper asks AI, your brand should be the answer.
More buyers are starting with ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews instead of a list of blue links. GEO makes your store the source those engines quote and attribute — so you get found even when there's no results page to rank on.
How we get you cited
Be the source AI quotes
Answer engines cite clear, well-structured, genuinely authoritative pages. We build content that directly answers the questions your buyers ask, in the format models prefer to lift and attribute.
Structured data & machine readability
Schema.org markup, clean semantic HTML and crawlable structure so AI systems can parse exactly what your page says and who said it — the same foundation we lay on every site we build.
Entity & brand authority
Consistent brand entity signals across your site and the wider web, so models associate your name with your category and surface you by name.
Conversational query coverage
People ask AI full questions, not keywords. We map the real questions in your niche and make sure your site answers them better than anyone else does.
Measure citations & referral traffic
We track where you show up in AI answers and the traffic those citations send — so GEO is a measurable channel, not a leap of faith.
Built on real SEO, not hype
GEO only works on a solid foundation: fast, crawlable pages, clean structured data and content that genuinely answers questions. That's exactly the technical SEO we've done for 12+ years across 100+ stores. We add the answer-engine layer on top — we don't sell GEO as a magic trick that skips the fundamentals.
Frequently asked questions
What is Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO)?
GEO is the practice of getting your brand and pages surfaced and cited by generative AI search — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and similar. Where classic SEO optimises for a ranked list of links, GEO optimises to be the answer the model gives and the source it attributes.
How is GEO different from SEO?
They share a foundation — crawlable, authoritative, well-structured content — but the target differs. SEO competes for clicks on a results page; GEO competes to be quoted inside an AI-generated answer, often with no traditional results page at all. Good technical SEO makes GEO possible; GEO adds answer-shaped content, entity authority and citation tracking on top.
Does GEO replace SEO?
No. Classic search still drives the majority of ecommerce discovery today, and the technical groundwork overlaps heavily. We treat GEO as an extension of a strong SEO programme, not a replacement — you want to win both the results page and the AI answer.
Can you actually measure results from AI search?
Partly, and honestly so. We monitor whether your brand and pages are cited for target prompts across the major answer engines, and we track referral traffic from those surfaces in analytics. The measurement is younger and noisier than classic rank tracking, and we are upfront about that rather than promising precise numbers nobody can yet deliver.
How long does GEO take to show results?
It builds on your existing authority. Stores with solid content and technical SEO see citations appear faster; newer or thinner sites need the underlying authority built first. We will give you a realistic timeline after an audit, not a generic promise.
Are you invisible to AI search?
We'll check how the major answer engines see your brand today — and what it takes to get cited.
